April 12, 2001, the announcement of race participation plan and the latest model at Hotel Westin Nagoya Castle, and Diablo JGT-1 was presented. Engine and transmission were exactly same ones as last year but the chassis, under chassis, etc., were real new plans and the potential of them were improved quite a lot.
However, there was still wiring unfinished part at that point, it was the state that the car could not run directly by the first round from the next day of the announcement. The photograph is a snap in an announcement meeting place.

A brave figure of Diablo JGT-1 running in Fuji of the second round. The rear wing was an initial model and trendy three-dimensional shape. Different from the domestic production group, the roof rear of Diablo JGT-1 was gentle and smooth so flat shape wing was high efficient for this car. From Malayia race the wing was changed to one piece of flat wing.
At first, this new car was side radiator method but cooling was inefficient, therefore,it was transferred to the front as before from the second race Fuji.

A photograph of the cockpit of Diablo JGT-1. Very tight cockpit and it seems to be hard to get in but there is not a problem for space if a driver gets.
The button on steering wheel is for calls of radio and when a driver talks push it.
In a point of the steering wheel there is the liquid crystal display which an indication screen turns into by pushing a button. Transmission is sequential type.
Shift up by push the shift and shift down by pull the shift.
